About

Hi and welcome to Finding Focus. I’m Warren, and I live with my Fiancée Carmen and Springer Spaniel Tilly in West Berkshire.

Somewhere along life’s twisting road I developed a passion for capturing the world around me. I’m not sure when it began but at some point I must have picked up a camera. All of a sudden with a camera in my hand, the world around me became a more interesting place.PERU 2013

For many years I have sought adventure at first in the military and then as a keen climber and mountaineer. Nowadays an adventure doesn’t’ have to be quite as vertical or remote, I still love to travel, wander and explore but now its with a camera in my hands.  Its my passion, my obsession and like any thing worth having its hard to master. However this passion I aim to feed and grow in the hope that one day with patience, practice and focus, I can capture beautiful images that I am truly proud of.

The famous photographer Henry Cartier Bresson once said “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.”  With that in mind and the first 10,000 out of the way, I aim to improve my photography both technically and creatively. Along the way I will inform and inspire by sharing my images and experiences.. Please join me on my journey by liking and commenting on this blog or on my other social media. So its January 2014….Ten thousand and counting!

“THE CAMERA IS AN INSTRUMENT THAT TEACHES PEOPLE HOW TO SEE WITHOUT A CAMERA.”
